Somali world cup viewers killed
Somali World Cup viewers killed. Two people are reported dead after Islamist gunmen in central Somalia opened fire in a cinema where people were watching a banned World Cup match. The cinema owner and a young girl were reportedly killed by militia loyal to the Union of Islamic Courts, who seized control of parts of Somalia last month. The courts have introduced Sharia law in areas under their authority, including a World Cup broadcast ban. A civil war about religion is going on in Somalia ;(

A Christian Liberty statue
Check out the Statue of Christian Liberty, Complete with Cross and Ten Commandments. A church in Memphis, TN, is spending approximately $260,000 to erect a 72-foot-tall version of the Statue of Liberty, only holding a cross instead of a torch and carrying tablets containing the 10 Commandments instead of the "Give me your poor, your tired, your hungry...." fundamentalism and religion is a sad combination ;(

Budd Dwyer commits suicide at a press conference
*Very Graphic* Budd Dwyer called a press conference where most people thought he was going to resign from his position after some scandals were revealed. Well, he did resign...from life by shooting himself in the mouth on live TV. If you've never heard this story before, it's really interesting - click here for more info. It’s a interesting case to read, but the movie is very graphic, gross cruel to view ;(
