Granny Ghost Video Freaks Out Half Of Asia.
Granny Ghost Video Freaks Out Half Of Asia. This video has surfaced recently of an apparent granny ghost in an elevator, captured by an office building's CCTV system in Singapore. At first, it was described as happening in the Volkswagen office tower in Shanghai, China ... prompting officials there to say it wasn't recorded in their offices. Then, it became known as the Raffles Place ghost in Singapore. Anyway, it's been deemed to either be authentic, or a pretty good CGI attempt…watch it all... twice or more...

One in Four Republicans Reject McCain
http://www.thenation.com/blogs/thebeat/319157
Much has been made of the fact that a substantial portion of North Carolina and Indiana Democratic primary voters who cast ballots on Tuesday for Hillary Clinton told exit pollsters that – if Barack Obama is their party's nominee this fall – they may vote for Republican John McCain. But Obama's not the only likely party nominee who should be worried about some shakiness at the party base. Despite the fact that all-but-coronated Republican nominee John McCain was running essentially without opposition Tuesday, 27 percent of Republican primary participants in North Carolina cast their votes for a candidate other than McCain. In Indiana, 23 percent of Republican primary voters rejected the senator from Arizona. So, while Barack Obama should certainly be concerned about those exit-poll numbers that suggest not all Democrats are enthused about his candidacy, John McCain needs to be at least as worried by actual vote totals that suggest he has yet to "close the deal" with one out of every four Republicans…

The Uno
The 2008 National Motorcycle Show in Toronto has always been heavily influenced by the American V-twin crowd and highlights some of the area's top custom builders who have on display a fine array of one-off custom machines. This year's show, however, had one very unusual one-off custom, the Uno. The orange and grey coloured Uno made its first public appearance balanced on its two side-by-side wheels and its footpegs… Looking more like it should have been ridden by George Jetson as he pulled up to his space platform, it looked out of place amid the other custom creations in the building. Perhaps that's why it garnered so much attention. Since no one has ever seen a machine like this, the first question asked by on-lookers was: "What is it?" Ultra Modern Meets Ultra Custom The Uno (http://www.the-uno-tomorrows-transportation.com/) and its inventor, 18-year-old Ben J. Poss Gulak, hung out in a booth neighbouring the show's special guest, Russell Mitchell of Exile Cycles and was the ultimate in contrast of custom creations. In fact, heavily tattooed Mitchell was seen riding the Uno around the show on Saturday evening. Ben, as you would expect, fielded a multitude of questions about his strange vehicle once people got over his young age…

NASA: We Have Ignition
How do you test a new kind of rocket engine? To start with, bolt it to a trailer in the middle of the Mojave Desert. In this case, NASA is firing up the 5M15, which runs on compressed liquid methane. The odorless substance has multiple advantages over conventional rocket propellants: It's cheaper, it requires much less insulation, and it exists on several planets NASA hopes to travel to. That means astronauts could collect their own fuel for the trip home. Those glowing figure eights in the blast stream are called Mach disks, after the guy who lent his name to the speed of sound. They're shock waves, created as the expanding fuel hits the higher atmospheric pressure outside the nozzle. If part of this blast weren't obscured, you could take the number of Mach disks (we count seven) and multiply by the speed of sound — about 758 mph at the 1,300-foot altitude of this test — to estimate the speed of fuel exiting the engine. Just don't get too close now…

Gravity Hill
A gravity hill, also known as a magnetic hill (or sometimes a mystery hill and gravity road), is a place where the layout of the surrounding landscape produces the optical illusion that a very slight downhill slope appears to be an uphill slope. A car left out of gear will appear to be rolling uphill. There are hundreds of known gravity hill locations around the world…

Raw : Stun Grenades Hurt 10 In Anti-Fence Protests. (Hebrew)
MK Mohammed Barakeh (Hadash) was among 10 left-wing activists and a press photographer who were lightly injured yesterday when security forces dispersed a demonstration against the separation fence close to the West Bank village on Bil'in. Bil'in, which is located north of the Jerusalem-Modi'in highway, has been the site of daily demonstrations against the fence by Palestinians and Israeli leftists. Hundreds of dunams of village land, located in the West Bank, were confiscated for use in construction of the fence. Police officers and Israel Defense Forces troops at the site clashed with the hundreds of protesters who attended the anti-fence rally. The security forces fired rubber bullets and sprayed tear gas to disperse the crowd. During the clashes, which also included fist-fights, an Associated Press photographer was lightly hurt, apparently by a stun grenade thrown by police officers. According to the demonstrators, at one point a stun grenade also went off near Barakeh's leg. He was treated by an ambulance crew at the site…
