Blaze sparkled by lost camper
A brush fire burning on the north end of the city grew to 125 acres by Wednesday night, and was listed as 40 percent contained. It was set by a camper who was trying to join a group of friends that had set up camp in the forested area just beyond Yucaipa's city limits, officials said. Arriving after dark, the man became lost and decided to set some brush on fire as a signal, said John Miller, spokesman with the U.S. Forest Service. The fire spread, but the man was uninjured. Flames headed from north to south on Wednesday…lets call this camper the dumbest moron of the week…;(
