Meals on wheels is providing pet food
Meals On Wheels, Banfield is providing pet food for seniors. Wherever 87-year-old Lucille Mann goes, her 2 1/2-pound dog Pepper isn't far behind. Mann is one of 400 Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County clients - about a fourth of the local agency's total clientele - who receive free pet food in addition to daily meals. The Fort Worth chapter has been providing cat and dog food for the past five years, after volunteers saw an increasing number of clients feeding pets from their own plates…that’s a nice initiative for the pets and for the elderly people ;)
