The North American Opiate Medication Initiative, known as NAOMI, is offering hundreds of junkies haunting the slums of Vancouver and Montreal the chance to join a research study that provides free heroin…..But they haven't been biting. ;( The goals – harm reduction - of such a study are based on the assumption that institutions can rule the lives of junkies and their drug consumption, but most of the junkies are multiple heavy users, they are using a lot of other drugs too. Either the idea that one can use heroin a life long without harm is insane and wrong. For heavy drug users; there is only one way to solve your problems; total abstinence of all drugs, heroine, speed, crack, cocaine, and all other stuff from the killing zone ;)
