Man of 102 year gets a mortgage for 25 years...
The wheeler-dealer aged 102 takes out a 25-year mortgage. A man of 102 has been given a 25-year mortgage for £200,000. If he survived to pay off the debt at age 127, he would be the oldest person who has ever lived. The pensioner, from East Sussex, has agreed to make repayments of £958 a month, on an interest-only basis. He will use rent from the property to pay them and is understood to be hoping to profit from rises in the property's value. It is thought the pensioner sees the buy-to-let market as a way to easy money, despite growing warnings that high property prices make it difficult to profit from renting out homes…that old guy is a great example of life and spirit, and trust in a growing economy…ha-ha ;)

AMSTERDAM, 24/03/07 - Dutch politicians and media are downplaying excesses of multicultural society and thereby increasing these, in the view of Islam expert Hans Janssen: "The Netherlands should resist, using non-peaceful means", he argues in weekly magazine Opinio. Jansen, Professor of Modern Islamic Ideology at Utrecht University, characterizes the Dutch as inhabitants of "a peaceful enclave" who have, however, "forgotten that peace sometimes needs to be defended through violence". A peaceful society that wishes to remain existent and stay peaceful "will have to find a way to defend itself through non-peaceful means from people who are not peaceful", as the Arabist writes… "It will be hard to explaining this convincingly to all those respectable and friendly people in the (Christian coalition parties) CDA and Christen Unie. And to the rest."…It seems to be a hard conclusion of Janssen, but I agree with him; we must resist radicalism and terror of any political or religious movement, but not only in the Netherlands, it’s a task for everyone in the world who likes to live in a peaceful world…
