Your fastest and easy to use calendar/agenda on the net; its an agenda which you can share with friends, relatives and colleagues if you want to. Try this one it’s free is the latest in the long line of Ajax calendars. It’s built on Ruby on Rails and uses the scriptaculous goodies, but the coolest feature is the “spongebar”. It takes a natural English pharse and figures out what appointment to add to your calendar. So you can type in “meet over $5 flavoured coffee at Starbucks 4 pm tomorrow” and it figures things out and adds the appropriate appointments. The interface seemed nice and responsive and fairly clean. Drag and drop seemed to be well used, though I wasn’t sure about some of the effects ;)

Air borne laser
Air Borne Laser and state of the art computing; the Airborne Laser (ABL) sounds like something out of a very bad action movie-a laser turret mounted on the nose of a 747-400F. This isn't a laser designator or a low-power beam that dazzles enemy pilots and sensors, but rather a megawatt-class chemical laser designed to shatter ballistic missiles in flight from hundreds of miles away. The ABL is a $3.6 billion part of the United States' emerging missile defense network, funded by the Air Force and the Missile Defense Agency, and developed by Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. The laser has demonstrated enough power to cripple a missile during its boost phase-immediately after launch, before it leaves the atmosphere. But that hasn't quieted its critics, many of whom question the need for the system. Flight tests will resume this year, with the main event, a missile shoot-down, planned for 2008. ;)

In a new study, 13 mothers were asked to sniff soiled diapers belonging to both their own child and others from an unrelated baby. The women consistently ranked the smell of their own child's faeces as less revolting than that of other babies. This effect persisted even when the diapers were purposely mislabelled…mommy can find her baby always ;)
